How do I use the frame counter on the Holga?

There are two film number options on the back door of the Holga – one is 12 while the other is 16. You have to slide your arrow to either 12 or 16 to acquire 12 or 16 shots from your film, respectively.

Frame number pointed at 16

If you slide the arrow up to the number 16, you will get 16 rectangular shots on one roll of 120 film. Make sure to use your 6×4.5 mask for this, or all your photographs will overlap.

Frame number pointed at 12

If you slide the arrow down to the number 12, you will get 12 square shots on your roll of 120 film. You have to use your 6×6 mask for this one.
