Scan vs Wet Print

A comparison of the Epson Perfection V600 scanning a small section of a 35mm negative with a scan (same scanner) of an 8x10 silver gelatine print of the same subject. Neg scan was 9600 ppi, yielding a .tiff file of around 12MB. Scan of wet print was adjusted to achieve a similar - actuially slightly larger - file. Both were then resized to 1576x1576 and assembled here. No colour correction or noise processing. The wet print does carry significantly more detail.
