http://www.lomography.com/magazine/news/2014/06/07/most-popular-photo-last-year-june-7-2013 This is the view when I was on the go to my grandfather's hometown for the first time. We were stuck in this area called Nagreg, suburb before Garut, West Java, Indonesia, South East Asia, for about one hour. No wonder, because we trip at "Mudik' time. Mudik is the only Indonesian tradition, it's the time when most of moslem in Indonesia who live at other city/country, came back to their hometown. Usually it happen one week before 'Aidil Fitri, Islamic big day after one month fasting at Ramadhan month.

  • Night Shooting with @troch and @rcwater

    shared by mafiosa on 2013-11-18

I was recently in Vancouver for work and was fortunate to have a chance to re-connect with the wonderful @troch and meet the talented @rcwater. Since it was a work trip, I didn't expect that I would have time to do any shooting, so I was very unprepared - I only took my LC-A+ and one roll of film with me!! Lesson learned - from now on I will always travel with at least 2 cameras and at least 10 rolls of film. @rcwater: thank you greatly for your generous gift of the rare CineStill Tungsten film!! @troch: thank you for the Fomapan film and the beautiful Troch original card!!

I was lucky enough to join Vicuna, his brother Gérard and a bunch of wonderful people on a recent trip to Burkina Faso. This is the first album and an encounter of the Northern town of Nouna. Here, Gérard and his Partners, from the French city of Saint Priest and Germanys Mühlheim, are active in developing aid for more then ten years. One of the prime examples are these fountains, that can be easily used by spinning the wheel and which operate through a closed pipe-system, so the water can not be spoiled or infected through an open part. There is also a clever maintenance system. Villagers pay a small fee for using the fountains, like a flatrate pass. This money goes to technicians, who come from the village and who were educated to repair the fountains. Once a device breaks down, they are able to buy the needed parts and fix it...

Some of my favorite places to shoot. The bridge construction which has been going on for 3 years is almost done and you can now drive both ways back and forth to Turners Falls. This is a big deal around here because it's been three long years of one way into Turners but a long drive around to get back home. Also, I can now see the dam complex and all the views looking up the river towards Bartons Cove from the nifty new sidewalk and freshly refinished original cast iron railings. The bridge dates back to the 1930's WPA projects and has that cool deco railing.

Me and Rita (RU) are childhood friends and we are bound by countless stories and experiences, mainly collected because of all the trips we went on together. Few years ago she moved to Australia looking for better opportunities and since then we didn't have many chances to see each other. Luckily we managed to catch up when I came back from the UK and we managed to organise a short trip along with our families, just like old times. While in Zurich she proved to be an extremely skilled and comfortable in front of the camera model. Next time Australia? http://andrejrusskovskij.com/?p=734
