City Walk Wiesbaden

I obtained three rolls of the Santa Rae 1000 already early 2022 from Finland but used it only now for the first time. The film seems to be not that easy to handle as far as exposure settings are concerned. I set the ASA on 1000 and made some shots with the automatic measurements of the camera (Canon AE 1). But I also did a great number of shots on manual and 800 ASA - they came out much better. All in all I like the results - the rich contrast but, if correctly exposed, also the wide range of grey tones. A film which has a strong character - and I am looking forward to the next two rolls which I still have. Fotos on three different locations: short visit to my old home town (decommissioned coal mine), city walk through Wiesbaden and some shots from Ouddorp/Netherlands during my recent trip. Stand developed for one hour in Rodinal 1+100.

    Die Seifenblasen sind richtig schön geworden. Es scheint als ob sich da noch andere Motive darin spiegeln.
