Today I've visited the #magnolia grove in the #wilhelma in #stuttgart. As you can see the #weather was great! The #pentaconsix was the only camera I had with me, too bad but i really like the results! :)

On our way to Nouna, we had a flat tyre. In itself, it's not a big deal, but becomes a problem when you can't loosen the bolts on the tyre... A mechanic from the next village came to help and we managed to get 3 bolts out of 4... but the last one did not loose at all. So the mechanic tried to cut it of with a hammer and a chisel.... We were waiting over 3 hours and the problem still wasn't solved. So a friend came to pick us up and bring us to Nouna, where we arrived at night. The mechanic worked a couple of hours more to finally get the tyre changed... As they say in Africa, problems don't exist, there are only solutions ...

After the long travel, it feeled good to be in Nouna and I enjoyed the beautiful garden of the "Touba" guesthouse where we stayed to make some first shots with the Jupiter3+ lens mounted on my Canon P. I also took some shots of little Felix, the son of our tenants who was so sweet and always willing to be photographed. Later, we made a visit to the traditional district chief and I asked him his authorization to take pictures of the people of Nouna for my portraits project. He agreed for it and was willing to take the pose with his family for some portraits: the realisation of the project had started! :)

Once again, I went to the village of Koussiri, near of Nouna, where I already shot some great portraits of kids in my previous travels. This time was no different, I met a lot of enthusiastic kids who were willing to stand in front of my Rolleiflex for a little portrait session.

Another photo taken with Lomo LC-W on Kodak Ultramax 400. I really like the colours that this film gives you. For a standard consumer film I think it's brilliant. Managed to catch her scarf blowing back and obscuring the sunset which you can just see through the material.
