Ennuh Tiu is one of our long-standing LomoAmigos. She's an avid film photographer and lover of all things analogue. That's why it's no surprise to know that her photos were chosen to appear on the cover of Eraserheads's newest record titled Sabado 1995.

Eraserheads was a rock band from the Philippines with a huge following across different age demographics. Their songs were the anthem of many Filipino youth of the 1990s up until the 2000s. The lyrics were relatable and the musical arrangement easily recognizable, making them a staple in radio stations during their active years.

Ennuh is a big fan of the band and we can only imagine her reaction when she heard the news that her photos made it to the album cover. After all, one of her earliest and fondest childhood memories was singing along to 'Huwag Mo Nang Itanong' and recording her voice on cassette. "I was ecstatic, to say the least" shares Ennuh. Well, who wouldn't be? One of your biggest musical idols just chose your photos to become the front and back cover of their newest album.

When asked about the photos on the cover, Ennuh recalls them being from quite a while ago. The photo on the front cover was taken while she was on a night out with friends at a local party spot in Poblacion, Makati. The back cover is a negative of a photo that was taken on a regular day at her old office. Coincidentally, it was captured with a Simple Use Film Camera pre-loaded with Lady Grey 400.

Nothing special, nondescript, nothing grand. Much like the one-sentence brief that described the look and feel of the project before she pitched her photos: "The aesthetic of unglamorous photography, monochrome, unremarkable typefaces." If you ask us, these two photos fit the bill just right.

Sabado 1995 is currently available at Offshore Music PH and additional stock can be found at Tidal Vinyl and select record stores.
