Lomography Pioneers: @stouf's Arctic Adventures in Analogue
6 15 Share TweetIn the early days of Lomography, there used to be a section called LomoLocations, where we featured user-submitted travel spots and favorite hangouts. One of the busiest contributors was community member @stouf.
Antarctica was @stouf's playground, and his adventurous spirit not only influenced his travels, but his choice of cameras as well. He used all kinds of film cameras—Lomo LC-A, Holga, Gakkenflex, Olympus Pen, to name a few! But based on the breathtaking panoramic photos that he has on his LomoHome, the Horizon Perfekt and Spinner 360 were a few of his favorites.
His unwavering passion for documenting his arctic travels was a real treat. He went to places that most of us could only dream about, taking in the stunning views (and adorable penguins!) through panoramas, sprockets, fisheyes, and squares, which you can see here.
His travels were not limited to icy landscapes, he also captured sun-soaked trips with friends and loved ones. Even when he's out and about, capturing his escapades and daily life moments, he was also kind enough to share his reviews and tips with his fellow Lomographers.
It's been a while since we last saw him here in the community, but we hope he is doing well!
Lomography Pioneers is an ongoing tribute to our earliest community members, whose stories and photographs helped shape our thriving online community into what it is today—diverse, creative, and inspiring. See the Lomographers we've featured so far!
