Once again, our community proves to be a treasure trove of talented photographers with an eye for mesmerizing captures.

Gaspard aka @ykiyuk describes himself as a "Belgian [photographer] lost in Uruguay" and he brings with him an appetite for color that we truly appreciate. Most of our favorite shots from Gaspard are taken with color film and they remind us of a time in the world when everyone was free from a global health crisis. The vibrant shots make us feel wishful and we hope that they have the same effect on you as well. With the global restrictions easing up, we hope that we can all go out without worry sooner than later. Thank you for making us feel hopeful with your inspiring and colorful work, Gaspard!

“After shooting my first film rolls, I fell in love with the colors and the feeling that they gave me—a kind of nostalgia for events that only occurred a few months before. I also feel that shooting film gives me a better sense of what light really is and I feel simply grateful for the colors that it can offer. As an amateur photographer, I try to keep up my creativity by experimenting with different films (I loved the Lomochrome Purple), buying new cameras, using lenses, prisms, and multi-exposures. I am amazed by all its capabilities and the fact that an art form—which many thought would disappear—still has a lot to offer. I really hope it will continue for a very long time.” - @ykiyuk
