Qursayah (Egypt #1)

I went to Cairo for the first time a few weeks back. My mission was to do a film portrait about Mohamed Abla, a fantastic artist who is winning the Goethe Medal this late August. Not only Cairo was such a discovery for me, but also Mohamed and his paths. Among others he has one studio in Qursayah, an island in the Nile. You have to set over on a tiny ferry andit's a complete different, more rural world with donkeys and such a calm atmosphere.
