The Bakery

Perhaps the hardest thing about street photography is that a photographer should remain discreet all the time. You need to be a ghost gliding in the midst of a hectic habitat . You need to learn that you exist to be absent in your subject's thoughts and consciousness. If you want to capture a true moment without pretense or affectation, then you need to disappear completely from the scene. Keep in mind that you are not part of the moment nor the creator of it. A single reaction can change the feeling or the spirit of your output. A slight motion affects permanence. As a photographer, what you have is a captured moment of perpetuity - and the goal is to keep it real.
