    Thanks @buckshot - burning the end of the filmstrip is the most risky for burnt fingers - the other problem is storage of negatives that are warped and crispy.

    how did u scan it after melting?

    Thanks @neja, the negatives look like a crisp strip of bacon after melting, so they no longer sit flat on the scanner bed. I use a 120-size film mask on the scanner and lay the 35 mm strip in the center. I do a preview scan. I then select a small area to lock in the settings. Once the setting is locked in, I manually select each frame of the 35mm strip to scan. (I should make a YouTube video). Thanks again for your comments and likes.
