old stella

Got this at a garage sale fund raiser. It came in a dilapidated case that looked like it has gone through several dust bowls. To my surprise when I opened the case, – it’s a Stella, the same kind of guitar that the early Delta blues player used before the first world war. Most of these blues players are long dead, and so is the company that made the guitars.

Love the shot, but never liked a Stella ... truth be told they were just lumber.
But don't get me wrong, I do love the shot, it brings the best out of the guitar.

Don't mean to sound sour, cool?

thanks for kind comment on the image ... no probs, toonboy... IMO the Stella is great for bottleneck delta blues precisely because it is just lumber...Owned a Taylor and my current main squeeze is a 52 Tele and continue to play other more expensive guitars but I go back to the Stella because of the sound it gives me that I cannot get from other guitars

    I hear ya ... I have many a chunk O wood that I love.
I'll have to make a project out of a roll and shoot my stuff, then you can visit and wince at the stuff. I love.

    It's all good.
