Sleeping District

Saint-Petersburg struggles to maintain low-height historical center, but more remote districts are like this - Soviet era residential buildings are mostly 5 or 9 floors, late Soviet's and from 1990s are 12 or 17 like many here. Modern "anthills" of about 22-26 arose here and there - and this shot is taken from one of those. I'm not happy with empty skies and not very clear city center at horizon. One can find peak of St-Isaac's cathedral here if one knows where to search, but it is barely discernible due to poor quality. Hopefully I'll re-take this shot later with some better conditions or camera. #35mm #city #architecture #history #sunshine #blackandwhite
