Dark mood, menacing locations. Under exposure an artistic decision. Self portraits with the self timer on the xa2. Theres a ghost in one of these shots, not for the first time.

Awesome shot very fitting to the overall mood and the tone of the film. Great!

@mike1allison thanks Mike. I always try to do something different, rarely shooting my film the same way, quite often it depends on my mood that day!

I love this picture, it expresses the dark mood - but also s.th. playful and light. you seem to sit in the middle of a mealstrom of change!

@captainfantastic thanks Jakob. Its quite special to me this photo. They say that good art comes out of adversity. Well its not for me to say that this is good art but its conveys exactly how I was feeling that day and I couldn't have wished for a better result in that this was how I wanted it to be. I hadn't really realised until I took this series how powerful the medium of photography is as a tool of self expression and analysis. I will explore this concept further.

@charliedontsurf its a crazy mix of artifacts, grain, and pretty stunning details. Film is so interesting in the many chance elements that come together. Oftimes differences between two frames on the same roll.

@mike1allison I think when I push this emulsion to its limits it starts to fall apart in many ways! Glad you appreciate the destruction.

@charliedontsurf what ISO are you running this at? Sounds like a candidate for the Rodinal 1+300 x 24 hour stand test ... LOL

@mike1allison I shot this 34 yr old film at iso200, a 1 stop push over its original speed. To develop it like this I cooked it in 1+50 heated up to 25℃ and left it well alone for an hour. It usually performs best at iso32 so this was quite a risk. An experiment for the times, I'm not sure if I will do it again, we will see.
