Although its lower levels were still a thriving marketplace, climbing beyond the third floor of Pasar Grosir Asemka in Jakarta's Old Chinatown district of Glodok led us to eerie quietness. The colours suddenly turned grey, electricity sparse and dust plenty; the top floors serve as illegal storage spaces for shops in the nearby area, as well as housing for rough sleepers.
Vor zwei Jahren war ich an Fotografie kaum interessiert. Hätte man mir eine Frage zu Filmen gestellt - ich hätte nicht weniger Interesse zeigen können. Doch dann entdeckte ich diese eine Kamera für mich und entwickelte die Liebe für die analoge Ästhetik, die ich noch heute habe. Lange bevor ich überhaupt von Lomographie wusste, hatte ich meine Pentax K-1000. Sie war mein erster Schritt in Richtung Film-Fotografie und das Hilfsmittel, das mir einen neuen Blick auf die Welt eröffnete.

In the past four years, I've had so many great opportunities to visit different cities and towns in the UK, seeing amazingly preserved architectures, meeting lovely people, and being welcomed by such a genuine culture. I feel like I have grown so much as a person from these experiences, and I'm grateful and thankful for all of these beautiful opportunities.
Venezia is well known for its picturesque canals, charmingly coloured houses and blue-green waters - all highlighted lovingly by the golden rays of summer sun. However, for my first ever trip to this amazing city, I wanted to show another part of its beauty: its cinematic nights wrapped in tones of amber lights; its familiar faces going about their daily lives.
End of the year in Britain has always been something that I look forward to. Christmas markets are set up in every city, hosting an exciting variety of food, games and pretty lights.
When visiting London during this time in my life I had one song playing on repeat, which was Alabama Shakes' 'Sound and Color'. The song is about an astronaut who has been sent to find a new Earth, and after waking up from his 500-years sleep, realises that everything has gone wrong. He sits alone in his cockpit, remembering the sounds and colours of his past memories on Earth. When I think back of my time living in the UK, some of the strongest memories that pop out are the sounds and colours; SoHo's warm glow of neon lights, the subtle noises of people going through their day, the comforting evening scenes. I know I've moved onwards in my journey to find more amazing places, but sometimes I can't help but think - maybe just like the astronaut in the story: what would life be like if I had stayed?
