    shared by jimw08 on 2010-03-09

This is St Peter and St Pauls. It's usually not in the sky but on a hill above the seaside town of New Brighton in Merseyside, UK. Called "The Dome of Home". A great building but under threat from demolishion.

    shared by paperplanepilot on 2011-01-01

Life is a continuos evolution of the mind. A never ending cycle of shedding the preconceived and welcoming the unknown. To evolve is to open yourself and widen your view, to not set any boundaries.

    shared by peropero on 2011-03-18

I went on this mini-trip to Argentina and forgot to remove the green filter I had on my Horizon, Since I didn't take the other filter, I couldn't remove it. This is what it looks like when you use a redscale film and a green filter together. I like it. :)

Walking around Turners this morning with my Canon 7E. I used a Voigtlander SL 40/2 and a Lensbaby Sweet 35 wide open. I had the Canon set at ISO 25 so I was surprised not to get the rich brown and blue tones that I have seen recently in a couple of albums. Nevertheless I had a lot of fun with trying doubles and messing with the two lenses and got some pretty good results.

    (1) Go to the 'Where is this' google map at the bottom right. (2) Drag and drop the little yellow guy at the centre of the blue circle. (3) turn your 'head' and here's the tree ! : )

  • Romantic self meeting: me, myself and i

    shared by lereile on 2011-06-18

Isolation. Not about loneliness, but introspectiveness. Not about a particular place, though i have a totemic tree, quite far from where i live now. More about finding the right movement, the one moment, for me. The one that doesn't exist. The time to walk, to just stop, no matter where, no matter who is looking, and take some pictures of my sincere me of the moment. My movement. My instant. My thoughts come sort of ghosts and look right into my eye. My camera. My mind. My heart. My solitude. My companion. Self-portraits using the self timer... Lonely romantic session on a modernistic set: Hospital Sant Pau, Barcelona.
