DIY Felt Bag for the Sprocket Rocket

My series from the selfmade feltbags continues. Now i made a bag for my Sprocket Rocket! Important for me is to have the bag on the camera while i’m taking pictures to have a strap!

You need:

• Felt (mine is about 2.5 mm thick)
• thread
• Scissors
• ruler
• pen
• knob
• Snaps
• Rubber band
• Screw from an old camera bag
• Ribbon for the strap
• Needle / Sewing Machine

I sewn a bag for the La Sardina in turquoise and one for my Diana Mini in magenta and thus the two felts to choose from. So i thought, i’m doing a mixed bag and took orange to stitch as an contrast.

For the bottom part, I simply placed the camera on the felt and framed it with a pen. The remaining parts I measured with a ruler or apply the felt on the camera to found out what is the most optimal size.

After I sewed all the pieces of the bag together, I thought about how I attach the bag to the camera in the best way. I have some old camera bags that I do not use. I have taken one of the screw at the bottom from the bag to attach to the Sprocket Rocket on the bottom.

That wasn’t enough for me to fix the camera in the feltbag. After thinking about I came up with the idea with the rubber band and the knob.

Thus, the first cover for the camera was ready. Now the strap must be done. For this I used a matching ribbon. To beautify I just have sewn a braid on top and then attached to the case.

The complex on the bag was the top cover. The items I have cut by adding at the camera. Sometimes, of course, i blended … but ultimately it has actually fit. Then, still on the ground sewn a push button and go! But the logo I placed at the end yet :)

I hope someone makes also a bag for the Sprocket Rocket and shows it to me once!
