Hello Flaviana and welcome to Lomography Italy! Would you like to tell us something about yourself?

I’m a 26 year old girl from Rome. I’m really busy, curious, and a little bit fickle. Currently, I’m finishing my studies and I hope I will practice Law soon. On top of that, I like driving sport cars, traveling, and I run a blog about fashion and lifestyle. Oh, I can’t live without music and I really like photography, both analogue and digital.

We already know about your blog Dress up for Armageddon. How was it born? How come that name?

I’ve always been keen on still-life photos (as you can see on my Instagram profile) and some years ago I had fun with making an outfit on my bedroom’s floor and taking pictures of them. I used to publish all my outfits on a small blog that doesn’t exist anymore. So, Dress Up For Armageddon is a more professional and egoistical version of that. Now I wear all my outfits and I get photographed.

During the past few years, I’ve been adding a lot of content on my website, because I was aiming at sharing all my passions and being inspiring to my readers. The name is the title of a song from The Hives, I think it’s perfect for a Fashion Blog as mine, always ironic and funny.

What is the biggest satisfaction you got thanks to your blog?

I really care about details. Maybe people don’t even notice it, but when a reader tells me that he understood what’s behind my choices, I get always a little pleasure from that.

How come you love Fashion so much?

I had my very first contact with Fashion when I was 15 or 16, while I was flipping through pages from a magazine. I fell in love with a Stella McCartney’s chewing gum shaped bag. In that moment, I realized that I could express myself through Fashion.

We know that you use an Olympus OM-1 really often. What do you like most about analogue photography?

Analogue Photography is funnier than digital, for sure. Every rolls is a little adventure, but it means also being patient and amazed by the results. I really like the smell of films, it just makes me happy!

We gave you a La Sardina Moonassi Edition. Did you have fun with it?

Yes, a lot! Especially because it was my very first time with multiple exposures – which are not so easy with my Olympus!

Would you show your pictures, please?

Surely!

What do you like most about your new La Sardina Moonassi?

It’s really intuitive and easy to use. I had fun creating my own stories just by looking at the amazing black and white illustrations the cameras has on her body.

Are you going to use your La Sardina for your Analog Street Style column?

Usually, when I am in Milan for the Fashion Week, the Olympus is always really professional, but if I want to have fun, I will use my La Sardina for sure!

Do you have any suggestion for our Lomographers?

Never look for perfection, because you get more emotions from pictures you haven’t planned out.

We want to thank Flaviana for this beautiful interview! Follow her on the blog, on her facebook fan page and twitter profile!
