Family in Car Photo from Norway 1913

Cyanotype print from acetate negative created from photographed copy of a 1913 photo of my friend's grandmother's family. The original photo was a slightly sepia toned B&W image. I love the car from the early days of motoring. 8 minute exposure under self made UV light on twice coated watercolour paper.

There is something special about old photos. I experience this when researching my grandfather. When I get old photos, it's like an 8 year old getting an electric train for Christmas ;-)

@steamtug1959 I have to agree Ralph! I do not have access to more than a few old photos on my mother side of the family and none from my late father. I have been fortunate to have been invited to look at old photo collections from elderly friends. Some of those photos are shared here. I love your enthusiasm for the photographic treasures with their history to reveal!!

@steamtug1959 I will just add that I was lucky enough to have been researching a country park and colliery village as part of my work. Local people brought me some real treasures from the 1920's. It was Christmas come early for me too!! :-)
