   The original home of PEZ is 15 mins. to drive from where I live. One of the few Austrian things (before Lomography) that are known even in the US. When I was a kid there were PEZ vending machines everywhere. One could chose between Flavoured (1 orange, 1 lemon) or Mint (2 packs). Kids preferred Flavoured

   @msiegel I loved the mint ones.I remember those,I have quite a few over 100 of the dispensers I've collected over the years.wow You are only 15 minutes away from the original home of Pez? That is fascinating!

   @leisuresuit Dispensers were a luxury when I was a boy. But every kid could load a full pack in one go. The PEZ pistol was made of unoptanium - I never saw a kid my age having one. I wish I had one dispenser of that time kept. But they died from use, as intended by PEZ. But they are in our collective memories as Austrian kids.

   @msiegel Yes the link works,most fascinating, I have never seen such a machine. The Pez Pistol You say? I have never seen one of those either. I have never actually loaded Pez into a dispenser because I just like to eat them off the roll. I have been biding my time with Pez instead of cigarettes as I quit smoking about 4 weeks ago.
