Francesca Bianchi's LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 Film First Impressions

Italian photographer Francesca Bianchi is back in our Online Magazine with some previously unreleased photos taken with our new LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 (35 mm) film. Let's take a look at her results and hear about her first impressions!

Hi Francesca, welcome back to our Online Magazine! Can you tell us why you chose this setting to test our new LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 film?

Hello and thank you! I chose to test at the beach where I usually go during summer. I shot it in January but I took advantage of a beautiful day. I thought it could be interesting to test a 400 ISO film in the warm sun, but still with the colder winter light.

What features did you like most about this film?

I really liked how it brought out the yellow-ochre tones in the photos, a tone I rarely get out of my pictures. I was also very surprised by the grain, very subtle.

Do you have a favorite photo taken with this film?

As a lover of dynamism in photos, my favourite are the ones in motion. I especially enjoyed directing them, making the subject run and jump.

How do you feel about a new color negative film being on the market?

I think that now more than ever we need a push to produce new films. When I heard about the Lomography project I was elated. The shortage of film at the moment is an issue that worries many photographers, and this is great news.

What do you think is the perfect situation for shooting this film?

I love 400 ISO films. I find them the most versatile type of films of all. I tested it outdoors, but I am convinced that for some portraits indoors it could also give very interesting results.

Which camera did you use for this shoot?

I used a Prima BF, a semi-automatic point-and-shoot.
